Kitchen chairs – comfortable every day, beautiful for guests
Kitchen and dining chairs are used every day, so they need to be comfortable, sturdy and easy to care for. At the RestockFurniture store in Riga you will find velvet kitchen chairs – the Orta, Lugano and Dana models in a range of colours. Many models also come in great-value sets of 4. Prices start at around €38 per chair.
How to choose kitchen chairs
- Height – a standard dining table (74–76 cm) suits chairs with a seat height of around 45–48 cm. For a kitchen island, see bar stools.
- Space around the table – allow roughly 55–60 cm of table edge per chair so it is easy to sit down and stand up.
- Backrest and armrests – for long dinners, chairs with a higher back are more comfortable; armrests need more space and a wider table.
- Material – velvet is soft and cosy, and modern velvet fabrics are easy to clean.
Combining colours
Dark green, beige and grey chairs work well in Scandinavian and modern interiors, while black adds an elegant contrast to the kitchen. If you cannot decide, see the chairs in person – colours always look a little different on screen.
