Office chairs – how to choose a comfortable chair for work
Many people spend six to eight hours a day at their desk, which makes the office chair one of the most important pieces of workplace furniture. At the RestockFurniture store in Riga you will find office chairs for both home offices and company offices – from simple, compact models to ergonomic chairs with a high back and adjustable headrest. What to look for in an office chair
- Seat height. Your feet should rest flat on the floor with your knees at roughly 90°. A gas lift lets you adjust the chair to your height and your desk.
- Backrest and back support. An ergonomic backrest follows the line of your spine and supports your lower back, so your back aches less at the end of the day.
- Headrest. Useful if you often lean back during calls or while reading. Models such as OfficeOne, Stratos, Apex and Maxi have an adjustable headrest.
- Armrests. They should let you keep your shoulders relaxed and your elbows level with the desk.
- Castors. Rubber castors are better for parquet and laminate floors as they do not scratch. They are also available separately in a set of 5.

How do I choose the right office chair height?

How much does delivery cost and how quickly will I get my order?
Collection from our Riga store is free. Same-day delivery in Riga costs €20 if you order by 13:00. Courier delivery within Latvia and to Lithuania and Estonia costs €10 and usually arrives within 1 working day.
